Comment on the BRP children’s story: Get to Bed!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Barnyard Version of “Good Night Moon” Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2020

I recommend “Get to Bed” by Catherine Ann Russell for the way its barnyard update on the message of “Goodnight Moon” (Harper) — the 1947 childrens’ bedtime classic by Margaret Wise Brown.
Like many kids, the domestic animals and wildlife featured in this story take their time settling down. They dawdle over dinner and procrastinate getting to their resting and nesting places.
The book — with lovely watercolor illustrations by Morgan Grace Quist — shows young readers another version of how nature winds down with help from the boy narrating the story.
Enjoy!

“The National Trust successfully collaborated with Spike Productions to develop a video showing the connections between cultural sites across the landscape of Northern New Mexico and Southwest Colorado. Cat was great to work with, providing editing, voice over and post-production services in a professional, timely and economical manner.

We have used the video to present visual, dynamic information about the need to preserve the Chaco Canyon area, sharing the video on our website, with donors and partners and as an advocacy tool. Since not all of these constituencies have been able to visit the site, the video serves as an excellent substitute to actually visiting Chaco Canyon.”
