The Hyrax Song

Spike Productions is excited to announce our latest Basketful Relief Project book: The Hyrax Song. Journee is not only a mouse but a princess, daughter of the great mouse king who was incredibly wise and presided over a vast and beautiful kingdom. Journee loves adventure, especially when she finds herself in the middle of one with her dear friends: Mr. Steed, her father’s personal horse, Mr. Owl and Mr. Toad. Ever since meeting Mr. Owl and Mr. Toad on her last adventure, finding the mysterious Pond of Reflection, the foursome had become best friends and spent much time together looking for exciting new challenges. They didn’t have to look far when they discover a Rock Hyrax resting on a boulder who had been traveling from the High Western Mountain to deliver an important message to the king. The foursome immediately take him, who’s name is Mr. Badger, to see Journee’s father and are shocked to hear his message. It is a report of grave danger that threatens the entire kingdom and launches Journee and her friends on a new adventure. Unlike the adventure of The Pond of Reflection, this escapade is dangerous and requires all creatures great and small to come together to thwart looming disaster.

The Hyrax Song, book 2 in The Pearls of Wisdom Series based on a Biblical Proverb is due out at the end of the year on BookBaby and Amazon.

Spike Productions is delighted to team up with Boulder artist Brooke Connor of Brooke Connor Design to illustrate this epic adventure story.
